Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint public appearance since their return to the UK in August, stepping out in Nottingham on Thursday for a day of engagements.
The couple, now thought to be based in the Cotswolds, visited three prominent locations in the city: the Community Recording Studio (CRS), Himmah Hub and Food Bank, and Epic Partners. The visit held particular significance as Nottingham was where they held their first engagement after their engagement in late 2017.
Greeted by crowds of fans
Between 150 and 200 people arrived to greet the couple at their first stop, the Community Recording Studio, at about 10.30am. The crowd cheered as the royal couple got out of a dark-coloured Range Rover, with one woman shouting: “We love you, Duchess Meghan, we love you.”
Meghan and Harry embarked on a 20-minute walkabout before the start of the engagement. Fans had brought flowers and balloons to give to the couple, and Meghan was spotted with a huge bunch of autumnal coloured flowers.
Inside the visits
During the visit to the Community Recording Studio, Meghan joined a jewellery-making session and was pictured talking to some of the children in attendance. The couple also listened to a young artist named Amelia perform her original song "Peer Pressure" at the local community charity, which offers various youth development programmes.
The Duchess of Sussex, who stunned in a deep maroon look, has not made any public appearances since their return, instead focusing on settling their two children into their new life in the UK. Meghan was heard telling one fan how happy she was to be back in the UK.
