Manchester United have confirmed the signing of teenage winger Isaac Konde from Liverpool. The 16-year-old has joined the club's academy set-up with aspirations of breaking into the senior squad.
Konde completes switch from Liverpool
The transfer window may be shut, but United have still managed to complete another signing from a direct rival. Konde will reportedly be handed professional terms when he turns 17 in October but has penned a scholar contract for now.
The deal is not entirely finalised yet, with The Athletic reporting Liverpool are pursuing millions in compensation.
A club statement read: "Manchester United have agreed the signing of winger Isaac Konde. The talented youngster has joined after leaving Liverpool."

Versatile wide player with Under-18 experience
Konde had his first taste of Under-18 football at Liverpool, featuring regularly towards the end of the 2025/26 campaign. He managed one assist across six outings for Liverpool's under-18 side last season, earning increased playing time as the campaign progressed.
The 16-year-old is a versatile wide player capable of operating on both flanks.
The transfer continues United's recent pattern of securing promising youngsters from rival clubs. Only last week, the Red Devils announced the signings of central midfielders David Eze and Karim Cassim following their departures from neighbours Manchester City.
Carrick told to target City duo
Those two might not prove to be United's final acquisitions from City, after Gabriel Agbonlahor suggested Carrick could target their local rivals following recent events.
The footballing community remains in shock after City were found guilty on 114 of their 115 charges relating to Premier League financial regulation breaches. At present, no official confirmation has emerged regarding City's sanctions or whether the club plans to lodge an appeal.
Nevertheless, some significant players could leave the Etihad should their punishment prove sufficiently harsh to potentially trigger relegation.
Speaking on talkSPORT when quizzed about which players United ought to poach from their bitter rivals, Agbonlahor said: "[Gianluigi] Donnarumma – I have been watching [Senne] Lammens."
"Poor at the World Cup, cost Belgium in that game, and I think he has not been great this season. Look at the own goal – Lisandro Martinez against Fulham. He has got to be better with that save. I am not convinced in him."
"I will say Donnarumma to Manchester United. Manchester United will go and nick their number one goalkeeper."
He continued: "Elliot Anderson – Manchester United wanted you, now you go there. Manchester United – you wanted Elliot Anderson, go and get him for maybe half the price."
The prospect of signing Anderson, who completed a £116m transfer from Nottingham Forest during the summer, appears the less probable of the two, given that United's summer recruitment was largely focused on strengthening their midfield.
Nevertheless, supporters would relish the prospect of bringing a goalkeeper of Donnarumma's quality to Old Trafford, following his £26m departure from PSG last year.
