According to Globo Esporte, discussions have taken place with United alongside Manchester City and Barcelona. The fees mentioned are understood to be in the region of €25million (£21.4m), plus $15 million (£12.9m) in performance-related bonuses.

However, negotiations have 'cooled' during the World Cup, with Palmeiras altering their position. The club is now resolved to retain Conceicao and promote him into the senior squad.

Should Palmeiras proceed with that approach, they believe they will command a fee of €50 million (£42.8m) in subsequent transfer windows. Conceicao is already receiving guidance from the club's manager and senior players.

United's Youth and Squad Overhaul

United have made concerted efforts to recruit promising talent in recent windows. Ayden Heaven arrived from Arsenal in 2025, and the club have secured deals for Tynan Thompson and goalkeeper Kit Margetson this summer.

United are reportedly eager to bolster their attacking options after confirming Rasmus Hojlund's departure, with Joshua Zirkzee anticipated to follow suit. The club have overhauled their midfield, spending a combined £85 million on Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa. They are also pursuing a third midfield signing, with Aurelien Tchouameni, Alex Scott and Carlos Baleba linked. Additionally, goalkeeper Karl Darlow has joined on a free transfer as backup.
