A luxury car garage and sales centre in Berkshire has entered liquidation, becoming the latest casualty in the UK motoring industry. Knowl Hill Sales and Service Limited, trading as Knowl Hill Performance & Luxury, appointed liquidators on July 16.
The news was published in the London Gazette on July 22, with Jasmine Baxter and Rikki Burton of Anderson Brookes Insolvency Practitioners Limited appointed as liquidators. The company entered creditors voluntary liquidation, and a winding-up notice confirmed the business was being wound up voluntarily.
Specialist in performance and luxury vehicles
The company, located on Bath Road in Twyford, Berkshire, is listed as a vehicle repair shop but specialises in the sales, service and MOT of all makes and models. Social media channels indicate the firm primarily works with performance and luxury cars.
Earlier this year, the business advertised a 2021 BMW M4 Competition Convertible and a 2022 Range Rover P400 HSE. In recent months, it also stocked a Bentley Bentayga diesel V8, Porsche 911 GT3 Touring and a Ferrari California T. Classics included a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GT by Scaglietti and a 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Roadster.
Company history and industry impact
According to Companies House, the company was incorporated in July 2014, marking its 12th anniversary. Companies House also states the business is in creditors voluntary liquidation.
Knowl Hill Performance & Luxury is not the first motoring firm to face difficulties this summer. Haulage company T.M.S Service Provider Limited appointed liquidators on July 13, and Manchester-based second-hand car dealership Drive City Cars appointed liquidators on June 11, with the notice published in the London Gazette on June 17.
