Liverpool and Arsenal have been alerted by reports that Bradley Barcola will not sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with a £140m price tag now set for the winger.
Contract Stalemate
The Frenchman is contracted to PSG through 2031, but the prospect of him signing improved terms has been closed. He is now expected to leave this summer.
Barcola has spent three years with the Parisian club since leaving Lyon in 2023 but has struggled to establish himself as a first-choice option, competing with the likes of Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for playing time.
Interest from Premier League Giants
Liverpool are believed to be in pole position to sign the 23-year-old, having given up on their pursuit of RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande after seeing multiple bids rejected. The Reds are actively working on a deal to lure Barcola to Anfield as they continue their quest to replace Mohamed Salah. Barcola is reportedly open to the move.
Arsenal are also said to have been scouting the player this summer, alongside Vinicius Junior, and both clubs are expected to accelerate their interest in Barcola following the contract update.
PSG’s Valuation
PSG consider Barcola one of the top wingers on the market and have set a £140m asking price. A two-time Champions League winner, his age and recent nine-figure moves involving Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson are seen as justification for the fee.
The player caught the eye with an impressive World Cup campaign, scoring three goals and assisting a fourth in eight appearances as France reached the semi-finals.
