Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder and former world's richest person, is reportedly considering joining a consortium to buy a stake in Liverpool Football Club. Bezos, with a net worth north of $250bn, could be on the way to investing in the Premier League club, potentially dropping some of his pocket change into the Anfield coffers.
The development comes after Elon Musk's father previously claimed his son would be interested in buying the club, partly due to family connections to the city and knowing the Beatles. Bezos, however, is reportedly still mulling over whether to proceed.

Leading the pack of potential investors is Amit Bhatia, who announced his departure from the QPR board this week. Bhatia's father-in-law is a steel magnate worth $31bn.
