The league is examining whether Inter Miami made improper contact with the Brazilian player or his representatives before the designated transfer window.
Alleged violations
Tampering rules prohibit clubs from approaching players under contract with other teams without permission. Inter Miami has been linked with Casemiro for weeks, with reports suggesting the club had already agreed personal terms with the 33-year-old.
The investigation could result in fines, transfer bans, or other sanctions if Inter Miami is found guilty.
Club response
Inter Miami declined to comment on the ongoing investigation. The club is co-owned by David Beckham and has been active in the transfer market, recently signing Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2022 for £70 million and has two years remaining on his contract.
