Hjerto-Dahl's Rangers Transfer Appeal Amid £7.5m Deal Uncertainty

Jens Hjerto-Dahl scored a stunning goal for Tromso in their 4-1 victory over HamKam on Saturday, but the Norway U21 international remains uncertain about his future amid intense transfer speculation linking him with Rangers and Cardiff City.

Hjerto-Dahl's Stunning Performance

The 20-year-old midfielder netted a screamer as Tromso thrashed HamKam in the Eliteserien. After the match, Hjerto-Dahl admitted he does not know if he has played his last game for the club, though he expressed a desire to feature in Tromso's Europa League qualifier against Czech side Hradec Kralove next Thursday.

Speaking to local media, Hjerto-Dahl said: "They ask me to stay and ask if it was the last game. I don't have the energy to answer that much. I'm taking it day by day and week by week. There is a lot of speculation at the moment, people are shooting from the hip a bit and think they know what is happening. We will see what happens in the end."

Rangers Transfer Saga

Rangers have been heavily linked with Hjerto-Dahl over the past 12 months, and the player has openly declared his willingness to move to Ibrox. However, Record Sport revealed last week that the deal was at risk of collapsing, with Tromso reportedly standing firm on their £7.5 million valuation.

The transfer could be back on, with Real Betis pushing hard to sign Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin, whom the Gers hope to bank £20 million for. Additionally, Partizan Belgrade skipper Vanja Dragovic is poised to become Rangers' seventh summer signing in a deal worth around £4 million.

Coach's Praise

Tromso head coach Jorgen Vik praised Hjerto-Dahl for his focus amid the uncertainty. "It's strong, he is a role model for many in that area. He lives in the present and is very invested in Tromsø Idrettslag," Vik said.

Hjerto-Dahl added: "It would be really fun to play the European qualifiers on home soil, so I'm really looking forward to it."
