Arsenal handed £200m transfer green light after Bradley Barcola U-turn
Arsenal gets £200m transfer boost after Barcola U-turn

Arsenal could be in line for superb transfer news just days before the summer window opens. Mikel Arteta is focused on bolstering the squad's quality, with the Premier League club free to improve from June 15. After last month's Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, Arteta admitted the side needs to improve. Winning the Premier League is just the beginning for the north London side, who are likely to spend millions to maintain dominance and go further in Europe.

Bradley Barcola U-turn

A left-winger is high on Arteta's wishlist, and he could be handed a golden opportunity after news that Paris Saint-Germain are open to parting ways with Bradley Barcola. According to L'Equipe, the French champions are willing to let the 23-year-old leave after stalled contract talks. Barcola scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 49 games this season but played second fiddle to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at times. Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli have failed to consistently impress on the left flank for Arsenal.

£200m transfer verdict

Arsenal icon Ray Parlour has urged his former side to target Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi in the window. Rogers, set to feature in the 2026 World Cup with England, won the Europa League with Aston Villa. Kroupi scored 13 goals in his debut Bournemouth season. Reports suggest Villa want £100m for Rogers, while Bournemouth seek a similar fee for Kroupi. Speaking to Mirror Football, Parlour said: 'Rogers is a fantastic player. He can play off the left and in the No. 10 role. Kroupi is very talented, and Arteta can make young players even better.'
