Welsh Water has said repairs to a water leak on Ty Glas Road in Llanishen, Cardiff, have been delayed by other works. A large puddle has formed on the road, and residents report low water pressure.
Resident reports pressure issues
Local resident John Caddick, who lives nearby, said the leak has been ongoing for around four or five days. He noticed the water pressure was down when trying to use his shower.
Mr Caddick said: "I live just around the corner off Fishguard Road. I noticed the water pressure was down four or five days ago when I was trying to have a shower and it wouldn't switch on. It's a pressurised one."
No notification received
He added: "This morning again the pressure was down. I do receive notifications from Welsh Water if there's anything going on in the area, but I received nothing from them, which seems a bit odd. I have seen nobody working on it. I have seen nobody from Welsh Water here."
Mr Caddick said there have been ongoing road works in the area on another matter, and neighbours also reported their water pressure is down.
Welsh Water apologises
Welsh Water apologised and said repairs would start, but had been delayed by other works in the area.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said: "We are preparing to repair the leak on Ty Glas Avenue, Llanishen, this evening. An attempt was made to repair the pipe on the weekend, however, due to complexity of the repair because of the amount of other utilities infrastructure in the ground close to the leak, it was put back for further detailed planning. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience."
