However, people who want to fully experience the first near-total solar eclipse in the UK since 1999 can still do so safely in a number of ways.
Eclipse Viewing Without Glasses
While the glasses are unavailable, there are alternative safe methods to observe the eclipse. These include using a pinhole projector, which allows you to see the eclipse's shadow without looking directly at the sun, or using welding filters with a shade number of 14 or higher.
