Drivers on the M3 motorway are facing severe delays following a serious crash near the M25. Two lanes are closed eastbound in Surrey between junctions 3 and 2, according to National Highways.

Emergency services have been scrambled to the collision. Motorway camera footage shows huge queues at a standstill, with traffic currently facing delays of 40 minutes and three miles of congestion on approach.
National Highways wrote on X: "Lanes 1 & 2 (of 4) are closed on #M3 eastbound in #Surrey between J3 #Woking & J2 #M25 junction due to a collision. @HeathrowAirport / @Gatwick_Airport. Emergency services on scene. Traffic is passing in lanes 3 & 4. Current delays of 40 mins on approach. 2 miles of congestion."
