M25 traffic stopped in Kent as HGV fire causes delays

All traffic has been stopped on the M25 in Kent after an HGV caught fire, causing major delays for motorists.

The motorway is blocked anti-clockwise between Junction 6 and Junction 5 while fire crews deal with the blaze.

Long queues and delays

Drivers are facing delays of more than 60 minutes, with around six miles of congestion building on the approach.

Fire crews at scene

Firefighters are currently at the scene dealing with the HGV fire which has brought traffic to a halt on the M25.

The incident is affecting the anti-clockwise carriageway in Kent between Junctions 6 and 5.
