Jeremy Clarkson has issued a devastating update on this year's harvest at Diddly Squat Farm, revealing the crop is already ruined due to the ongoing heatwave.
The former Top Gear presenter, 66, took to Instagram this weekend with a snapshot from the BBC weather report, which showed Sunday's (August 9) temperature at 29 degrees Celsius in Chipping Norton, where his farm is located. Monday is forecast to reach highs of 24 degrees, but Wednesday is predicted at 31 and Thursday at 34 as the UK braces for another heatwave.
Drought conditions grip the UK
Droughts have gripped parts of the country, with Wisley in Surrey recording 52 consecutive days without rain and Coningsby in Lincolnshire recording 43.
It's bad news for the harvest and for the future of Diddly Squat, which relies on agriculture to stay running.
On Instagram, Jeremy wrote: "Harvest already f***ed. May as well just enjoy it now."

Clarkson hits back at critics
Jeremy was quick to respond to one critic, who pointed out: "Sir Jezza… you're a multimillionaire. Stay calm and carry on!"
Jeremy replied: "Most farmers aren't. Spare a thought for them eh?"
And when another pointed out that Jezza still has Hawkstone beer to enjoy, he said: "Yes, but it's made from British barley and this year… Jesus."
