A powerful earthquake has struck Granada in Spain, less than a week after a tremor shook the tourist hotspot. Early estimates place the earthquake at magnitude 4.6 on the Richter Scale, with its epicentre located around 8km south-west of Granada in Alhendin.
Tremors felt across Andalucia
The tremor earlier this morning was reportedly felt across much of Andalucia, with hundreds of reports lodged from locations nearly 100 miles away, including on the Costa del Sol.
A local resident told the Olive Press: "I am still shaking – I have guitars pinned to my wall and I could see them swinging. My sofa moved a couple of inches, the coffee table too. I would say it lasted 7-8 seconds, we’re now experiencing aftershocks but they are weak."
