Firefighters were called to a grass fire on Conway Street near Everton Park in Liverpool on the evening of Thursday, July 30, after thick smoke was spotted rising into the air.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended the incident, with crews arriving at 18:25 after being alerted at 18:18. The fire, covering an area of approximately 20m x 30m, was extinguished using two hose reel jets.
Images from the scene show large plumes of smoke and scorched grassland. The blaze was brought under control within about 35 minutes, and crews left the location at 19:00. No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed.
A spokesperson for MFRS said: "Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Conway Street, Liverpool, on the evening of Thursday July 30."
