Princess Charlene of Monaco has released a statement about the dangers of drowning, just days after Meghan Markle shared a carousel of family holiday pictures on Instagram.
Featured in the 12 pictures posted by Meghan was a sweet picture of Prince Harry playing with his children in a pool - likely taken prior to his return to the UK. The Sussex family are thought to have spent some time in Portugal before Harry travelled to the UK, followed by his wife and children just days later.
Photo shows Lilibet doing backflip
In the picture of the Duke of Sussex and his children, five-year-old Princess Lilibet can be seen doing a backflip after her father threw her into the air. Both Lilibet and seven-year-old Prince Archie, seen in the background, appear confident in the water.
Princess Charlene took to Instagram just days later with a message on World Drowning Prevention Day. In her statement, she said: "On this World Drowning Prevention Day, I would like to remind everyone that these tragedies are often preventable."

She added: "Learning to swim, knowing lifesaving techniques and remaining vigilant can save lives." The Princess continued: "Every summer, the Princess Charlene Foundation reinforces this commitment through an awareness campaign in Monaco and several coastal cities, promoting safe behaviours and reminding as many people as possible of the essential steps they can take to stay safe."
"As periods of extreme heat lead more people to the water, prevention is more important than ever. Drowning gives no warning; a few seconds of attention can make all the difference. Together, let us make water safety a priority for everyone."
Lilibet and Archie also appeared in other pictures in Meghan's post, including one of Archie sitting in the pilot's seat on an aeroplane.
