Travel influencer reveals simple fix for creased suitcase clothes
Travel influencer's simple trick to fix creased suitcase clothes

Travel influencer Anna Sheehy has shared the item she packs to keep her clothes wrinkle-free while travelling. She said that while packing cubes have been a game-changer for organising outfits, they often lead to creases. Her solution is a handheld steamer.

Why packing cubes cause creases

Sheehy explained: "Packing cubes have been a game-changer for keeping my outfits organised, especially when I’m only away for a few days. However, the only downside is that everything inevitably comes out a little creased and wrinkly - but I’ve found a really simple way to deal with that."

Her answer is a compact handheld steamer, which she described as one of her favourite things to pack for a city break. She noted it is quick, compact and allows her to refresh everything in a matter of minutes, so she can get out of the door quicker.

Available steamers and prices

Several handheld steamers are available online and on the high street at a range of prices. For example, the Philips 3000 Series Handheld Steamer is priced at £29.99. Similar steamers are available from Argos, Tefal and Dunelm for under £50, while brands such as Hilio offer more expensive options.

Alternative wrinkle-removal methods

There are several hacks for getting creases out of clothes without an iron. One popular method is the bathroom steam trick, which involves hanging clothes on the shower rod, turning on the shower and letting the room fill with steam. However, this method can be wasteful if the shower is not being used regularly.

Another option is to put water in a spray bottle and spritz clothes from a distance, using hands to straighten garments while they are slightly damp.
