A holidaymaker has issued a tongue-in-cheek warning against visiting Cornwall, claiming the popular UK destination left him more stressed than relaxed. Liam, who runs the YouTube channel 'LiamTheTerrible', documented his trip in a 10-minute video, criticising everything from prices to road sizes.
Liam travelled from the north of England in his van, a journey that took six hours. He paid £40 for a single night at a campsite without electricity, describing the cost as excessive given the pandemic and Brexit. He also complained about narrow roads, which he said were unsuitable for vans or even standard cars, joking that locals must use “special micro cars”.
The tourist advised against visiting Land’s End, calling it a “trap”, and said St Ives was impossible to visit due to a single, elusive car park. He claimed Cornwall lacked phone signal, speculating it was a ploy to stop tourists documenting their experiences. Despite his grievances, Liam admitted the Cornish coast was “stunning” but suggested people should just look at pictures online to avoid the stress.
Liam’s rant also targeted local food, describing pasties as dry, and compared Cornwall unfavourably to Wales. However, some locals agreed with his assessment, with one commenter calling the video “accurate and immensely funny”.
