As winter finally recedes and Easter approaches, many Brits are seeking sunnier climes to escape the lingering grey skies. TUI has analysed historical weather data to identify the destinations most likely to offer ideal conditions during the Easter holidays, ranking them by a Good Weather Score based on average rainfall, wind speed, and temperature in early April.
Topping the list is Turkey, with Marmaris emerging as the prime spot for Easter sunshine. This lively port town on the Turkish Riviera typically sees highs of 19°C around Easter, with minimal rainfall (just 0.01mm on average) and light winds. Visitors can enjoy sandy beaches like the six-mile Uzunyali or the quieter İçmeler Beach, along with historic sites such as the 16th-century Marmaris Castle.
Greece takes second place, offering mean temperatures of around 16°C and long sunny days. Destinations like Kos are popular choices. Bulgaria ranks third, praised for its pleasant climate with low rainfall and light winds, making it ideal for exploring without the intense summer heat. The Black Sea coast boasts 200 beaches, from lively Sunny Beach to cultural Varna.
