The Pumpkin Festival has opened at Kenyon Hall Farm, with tickets costing £3.95 each already selling fast. The event, which starts on Saturday, September 26, offers 50 different varieties of pumpkins in all shapes, sizes and colours, alongside more seasonal displays than ever before.
Photo spots and new activities for children
Visitors can stop at numerous photo opportunities both inside and outside, including a pink door, a piano, a tractor and an old red telephone box. This year, the farm has added mini wheelbarrows for little ones and pumpkin-themed games such as throwing hoops onto witches' hats and knocking pumpkins off posts at the Pumpkin Shy.
There is also a fire for toasting marshmallows and making Pumpkin Patch Smores for an additional fee. Weekend tickets have already sold out, but midweek slots, including after-school sessions, remain available.
Recognition and seasonal treats
The patch was recently named one of the UK's best by DiscoverCars.com, which listed it in its top 10. The company noted the 50 varieties of home-grown pumpkins, the displays and photo opportunities, and the award-winning farm shop offering fresh local produce and homemade bread.
The cafe and farm shop are serving festival specials including spiced pumpkin, tiramisu and banana bread lattes, cinnamon bun matcha, pumpkin spiced French toast and apple crumble. Cakes and sweet treats include Nutella cupcakes and cinnamon and white chocolate cake pops.
Indoor tent and ticket details
Inside the pumpkin tent, where visitors can choose pumpkins under cover, there are sweets, biscuits, home decor, carving tools, and pumpkin tattoos and stickers. Tickets are available on the farm's website, and under 18 months go free.
