Packing Quiz Reveals Your Holiday Travel Personality Type
Packing Quiz Reveals Your Holiday Travel Personality

Are you a comfort seeker who packs tea bags and a personal pillow, or an over-packer struggling to close your suitcase? A new quiz based on research of 2,000 holidaymakers reveals what your packing habits say about your travel personality.

Comfort Seekers and Over-Packers

The study, commissioned by Star Brands for Lenor Crease Releaser, found that many people cannot enjoy a holiday without bringing home comforts like tea, biscuits, or clothes for a different season. Only 8% of respondents believe their accommodation has everything they need.

Nina Lumsden from Star Brands said: "We might not know it, but there are a host of things we rely on every day for our comfort, so it makes sense that we like to take the little things with us to truly have a good time on a trip."

Key Packing Habits Revealed

Half of respondents (50%) wouldn't travel without their personal towel, 20% pack garment de-creasing products, 14% bring preferred condiments, and 12% pack coat hangers. Seven in ten said they would rather pack too much than risk not having something they need, and 48% need their own home comforts to enjoy a trip.

Holiday Bugbears

Top complaints about accommodation include uncomfortable pillows (41%), too few hangers (20%), and creased clothes (45%). A third of respondents have left a treasured outfit behind because they feared no iron would be available.

Lumsden added: "Whether you're someone who plans every outfit in advance, throws everything in at the last minute, or packs a few home comforts just in case, what we take away with us can say a lot about the kind of traveller we are. The goal is usually the same – to arrive ready to relax and enjoy the trip."
