Mohamed Salah Future Uncertain as Liverpool Rebuild

Mohamed Salah's next destination remains unclear after his departure from Liverpool, with Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City emerging as a potential suitor. Club president David Lee declined to confirm or deny interest, stating only that the team is open to signing "really good players."

Liverpool's Summer Overhaul Under Iraola

Liverpool have made just two new signings this summer as new manager Andoni Iraola prepares for his first season. Spanish winger Victor Munoz arrived from Osasuna, while defender Jeremy Jacquet completed his £60 million move from Rennes, which was agreed in January. The squad is set to depart for a pre-season tour of the United States soon.

The Reds endured a lacklustre Premier League title defence last term, leading to the replacement of Arne Slot with Iraola. Several high-profile players have left: Andy Robertson joined Tottenham after his contract expired, and Ibrahima Konate moved to Real Madrid as a free agent.

Salah's MLS Links

Salah, who left Liverpool this summer, has yet to announce his next club. Reports suggest MLS clubs are frontrunners, with Sporting Kansas City specifically mentioned. In a press conference, Lee was asked about Salah and responded: "I'm not going to share anything on individual players, whether those players are under contract or not. I'm not going to get into the habit of talking about individual players. We are interested in really good players. So anyone we think can be a fit for us and is going to fit what we would like to do, we have an interest in and would like to have a conversation with."

Ex-Red Larouci Joins Le Mans

Former Liverpool defender Yasser Larouci has signed for Le Mans after becoming a free agent. Larouci joined Liverpool in 2017 from Le Havre and was part of the 2019 FA Youth Cup-winning team. He made his senior debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2020, coming off the bench for an injured James Milner in an FA Cup win against Everton. After leaving Liverpool in 2021, he played for Troyes and had loan spells at Sheffield United, Watford, and Greek side Kifisia. Le Mans, promoted to Ligue 1 last season, is his new club.
