Visitors to Green Man travelling to the festival site have been given updated travel advice about getting to the 2026 event. The road over the Llangynidr Reservoir moorland, the B4560, is currently closed due to a recent wildfire.
Route closure and alternative directions
In recent weeks Welsh firefighters have been tackling a huge wildfire on the Llangynidr Reservoir moorland between Ebbw Vale and Llangattock, a key route for people travelling to the festival via the Heads of the Valleys road. Festival goers are being encouraged to follow directions towards Crickhowell and then follow Green Man signs from there on.
The festival itself issued an update to those arriving in the coming days, stating: "Due to ongoing road closures because of the recent wildfires, there will be no access to Green Man via one of our main routes in on the Llangynidr Mountain Road. If you are driving please head towards Crickhowell until you see signs for Green Man and follow them."
Extra journey time and traffic disruption
They advised travellers to allow extra journey time for their journey and that there "may be more traffic congestion and disruption on local roads."
Importantly, the Green Man team also said: "temporary road signs may differ from the parking pass directions or your sat nav, but please follow them so we can get you in as smoothly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding while the emergency services continue their work."
