Fred. Olsen has announced its 2028 cruise programme, featuring 17 new holidays from the Port of Tyne. The trips include a mystery cruise, Northern Lights voyages and Mediterranean getaways, with bookings opening on Wednesday, October 7. Prices for the 2028 cruises are yet to be confirmed.

New 2028 cruises from the Port of Tyne

A highlight of the offering is the Five-Night Europe Mystery Cruise, departing February 7, where each destination is kept secret until the ship approaches port. Other five-night trips include the Netherlands Tulip Season with Belgium cruise in April, which visits Keukenhof Gardens and Amsterdam, with a stop in Zeebrugge, Belgium, and the Norwegian Fjords in Five Nights trip in May.

For longer getaways, two 13-night cruises have been announced. The Colour & Culture of Morocco holiday in February visits Spain, Portugal and Morocco, including a full day in Casablanca. The Nine Nations of Northern Europe adventure in May stops in Norway, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Germany and Sweden, with highlights including Tallinn's medieval old town and the 42-kilometre-long Lysefjord.

Northern Lights and Nordic adventures

Three In Search of the Northern Lights cruises are scheduled for February and March, with 10-night trips across Norway to beyond the Arctic Circle. The Cultural Cities of Scandinavia at Easter trip visits Oslo, Aalborg, Copenhagen and Lysekil over eight nights, while the Mountains & Fjords of Norway and two Scenic Highlights of the Norwegian Fjords cruises feature five and eight fjords respectively.

The Wonders & Wildlife of Iceland cruise departs in June for 10 nights, including Reykjavik and the Midnight Sun north of the Arctic Circle. The Scenery & Wildlife of Scotland and Ireland trip in May visits the Shetland Islands, the Outer Hebrides, the Wild Atlantic Way and the Isle of Skye.

More options and 2027 cruises

Two seven-night trips round off the 2028 offering: the Iconic Landmarks of Northern Europe cruise in March visits Oslo, Copenhagen and Warnemünde, while the Cultural Cities of Northwest Europe cruise in May stops in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark.
