The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice for Germany following a vehicle incident in central Berlin on Saturday 25 July 2026. The attack, which occurred around 10pm during Christopher Street Day celebrations, resulted in multiple injuries and one fatality.

A major police operation was launched after the incident in the Tiergarten area. The Berlin police released a statement on Sunday evening saying they had killed the suspected perpetrator, and investigations are ongoing. Local authorities advised the public to avoid the affected area.
