Heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in Ibiza, with a British influencer among those affected. Stella Tzortzi, 26, originally from London, shared videos on TikTok showing her farm property inundated with water. In one clip, she expressed disbelief as bins floated down the street and water leaked through her roof.
The entire island remains under a red warning for heavy rainfall until 4pm local time. Local media reported a 'cascade of rain' inside Ibiza Airport, where the security check area was flooded due to continuous leaks. Several roads have been closed, including routes from Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària, as well as the E-10.
Emergency services in the Balearic Islands responded to 61 incidents, most on Ibiza. Firefighters are rescuing people trapped in vehicles and homes. A school in San Antonio was evacuated for safety. Floodwaters have turned streets into rushing rivers, uprooting trees and damaging vehicles.
Tzortzi, who shares her home with a pig named Sheila, initially worried about the animal as water rose in her pen. However, she later updated followers that her landlord had come to the rescue. Authorities urge residents to call 112 in emergencies and avoid unnecessary travel.
