After weeks of unpredictable spring weather, forecasters predict that southern and central England will enjoy the best of the sunshine, while northern regions may experience slightly cooler conditions.

According to meteorologists, the following areas are likely to experience the highest temperatures:

- The Midlands
- Parts of East Anglia
"We're expecting plenty of sunshine across much of England and Wales," said a Met Office spokesperson. "It'll feel particularly warm in sheltered spots, with temperatures potentially reaching the mid-20s."
