Meghan Markle has revealed a surprising detail about her husband, Prince Harry, during a recent TV appearance that highlights a shared trait with his estranged brother, Prince William.
While on a video call with Harry during filming for MasterChef Australia, Meghan was seen discussing the contestants' dishes. She praised all the participants as “amazing” and specifically complimented a hot sauce made by one of the chefs. However, when telling her husband about the sauce, she hinted it might not be suitable for him due to its spiciness.
“There’s a hot sauce and, you know, it's a sambal, and it is so good. I don’t know, I think it might be too much for you, though. It’s spicy,” Meghan told Harry.
A Shared Trait Among Brothers
This revelation that Prince Harry struggles with spicy foods may remind royal fans of Prince William, who has also admitted to having a low tolerance for spice. William, 44, revealed this a few years ago during an appearance with his wife, Princess Catherine, on “Going Home with Vick and Jordan on Radio 1”.
“I can’t do too much spice, I start sweating. It’s not attractive,” William said on the radio show.
Catherine added: “Whereas I like the spice, so I have to sort of cook the curry and then add the spice, extra spice at the end.”
Common Ground
The similarity suggests that although William and Harry are not currently on speaking terms, their mutual struggle with spice is something they can relate to. Moreover, both their wives—Meghan and Catherine—appear to enjoy spicy food, giving them a common interest they could potentially bond over in the future.
