West Midlands Railway has suspended all services until at least the afternoon, with no rail replacement buses due to uncertain road conditions. London Northwestern Railway has suspended services between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street, and reduced services to London Euston until Friday afternoon. Services between Manchester and Sheffield have been axed, including via New Mills, due to the storm's impact on the Peak District.
Great Western Railway has closed several routes in the South-West, including between Plymouth and Penzance, Exeter to Okehampton, and Truro to Falmouth, with no bus replacements. Chiltern Railways has halted services north of Birmingham Moor Street and to Stratford-upon-Avon, while running at half capacity elsewhere. National Rail warns of further disruption across England, Wales, and Scotland until the end of the day.
On the roads, the M1 northbound has one lane closed after a lorry crash between junctions 28 and 29 in Derbyshire, with reopening delayed due to snow clearance. The A30 in Cornwall is closed between Longrock and St Erth due to fallen trees. The AA urges drivers to exercise caution in affected regions, including the East Midlands, East of England, London & South East, South West England, Wales, and West Midlands.
At London Heathrow, more than 50 flights have been cancelled. The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for snow in the Midlands, North, and Scotland, advising drivers to take extra precautions.
