The UK is bracing for another spell of scorching weather, with the latest weather maps turning a volcanic red as temperatures are set to skyrocket. By next Wednesday, August 12, the entire country—from Northern Ireland and Scotland to the south of England and Wales—is likely to be hit by another hot spell that could see highs above 30C in many areas.

Temperature Peaks and Regional Variations

According to the latest maps issued by NetWeather.tv, temperatures in northern areas are set to climb to the mid-20s, but in many areas near the south coast, they could soar above 30C and reach up to 36C. Scotland and Northern Ireland will enjoy milder temperatures, while the south of England is likely to be the warmest area, with peaks ranging from 34C to 36C.

Met Office Forecast

A weather forecast from the Met Office covering the period that includes August 12 says: "For the most part, temperatures look to remain above average, especially in the south, and perhaps turning very warm or hot." However, the forecaster also says that mixed weather conditions are to be expected between August 10 and 19.

Whilst southeastern areas will generally see more settled and drier conditions. Further into August, lower pressure may start to track further south or east."
