While an amber extreme heat warning remains in place for the south east of England on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, the north west will see more moderate conditions.

Saturday's Weather

According to the Met Office, the north west of England will be largely dry on Saturday with warm sunny spells. Some cloud is expected across parts of the region during the afternoon, with the possibility of a few showers later on. Maximum temperatures in Greater Manchester are forecast to reach around 28C, which is cooler than recent days.

Saturday evening will be warm and dry initially, but skies will cloud over as the night progresses, with some outbreaks of rain. The Met Office predicts a balmy night with temperatures around 17C in Manchester.
