Disney has introduced a new mobile application designed to deliver highly accurate weather forecasts to guests across five of its major resorts. The entertainment giant partnered with AccuWeather to create the Disney Weather Check app, announced on Thursday. This tailored forecasting and alerting system aims to help visitors plan their days more effectively, whether by packing extra sunscreen or preparing for unexpected rain showers.
Resorts Covered by the New App
The app provides detailed weather information for Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort in Florida, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina. Guests at these locations can now access hyper-local forecasts that go beyond general city-wide weather data.
AccuWeather Integration
AccuWeather CEO Steven R. - Hourly Forecasts: Instead of relying on broad city forecasts, guests can view hourly predictions specific to each resort.
- MinuteCast: This feature tells guests exactly when rain or snow will start and stop at their GPS location over the next four hours.
- RealFeel Temperature: Based on 14 factors, this index provides a more accurate sense of how the weather actually feels.
