Creamfields is set to return, with thousands preparing to attend the UK's biggest dance music festival. The 2026 edition of the event, which will take place from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, will celebrate 20 years at its current site in Daresbury. Its line-up of more than 250 acts includes dance legends Swedish House Mafia, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and Australian act Sonny Fodera.
Met Office Long-Range Forecast
With the event just days away, many attendees will be planning what they will need to bring. It's always wise to bring a waterproof jacket to a festival, in case of an unexpected shower. According to the Met Office and BBC Weather, it might be likely that attendees may use them.
On the Met Office website, the forecaster has posted its long range weather forecast between Monday, August 24 and Wednesday, September 2 for the area. It reads: "Largely dry and settled early next week as a ridge of high pressure continues to extend across the country."
"Likely turning more unsettled during the week and through to the turn of the month as low pressure becomes more dominant. This bringing showers or longer spells of rain, perhaps heavy, to most if not all areas at times though still some sunny interludes."
"Possibly windy at times too. Temperatures likely near to average though varying with some short-lived warm and humid spells possible, especially in the south."
