Authorities introduced sophisticated digital systems to monitor and respond to the developing situation. According to Gulf News reports, the police command and control centre operated at maximum capacity while implementing two crucial digital platforms:
- A dedicated platform tracking flooded streets and intersections, with data integrated into satellite navigation applications to help the public identify safe routes
- A direct assistance platform enabling residents to request emergency services support, designed to significantly reduce response times during critical situations

The severe weather system affected multiple regions beyond Dubai, with continued rainfall reported across Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Sharjah on Friday evening. Meteorological authorities had issued warnings on Thursday evening about the approaching "low-pressure system" that would bring rain, thunder, lightning, and strong wind gusts to the region.
While dramatic photographs circulated on social media showing the Burj Khalifa illuminated by lightning strikes and flooded roadways, authorities provided no official details regarding potential structural damage, injuries, or fatalities resulting from the extreme weather conditions.
