Two people have died following a light aircraft collision in Gwynedd, north Wales, on Friday.

North Wales Police received a report that a light aircraft travelling from an airfield in England had not arrived at Caernarfon airport as scheduled.
A multi-agency air and ground search was launched, and the aircraft was found on Friday afternoon in a remote location close to Trawsfynydd, near Porthmadog.
The two people on board were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation underway
The Air Accidents Investigations Branch (AAIB) have been made aware of the incident and have deployed a team of investigators.
Chief Superintendent Owain Llewellyn said: “Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved in this tragic incident.
“We will support the AAIB with their investigation to ensure the circumstances leading to this incident are fully understood.
“This has been a challenging search operation and I am grateful to all of the agencies involved for their professionalism and dedication.”
