A plane bound for Manchester with more than 230 passengers on board made an emergency landing in Russia early today. The Airbus A330-300 from Beijing got into trouble over Siberia due to a “mechanical fault”, according to reports.

The emergency landing took place in the early hours of Saturday. The aircraft had departed from Beijing and was heading to Manchester.
