Two grid penalties have been confirmed and Mercedes chief Toto Wolff has detailed a major upgrade ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which has been moved to the Sepang International Circuit near Kuala Lumpur.
The race was postponed from its usual early Spring slot after Iranian missile attacks hit targets in Bahrain near the track, forcing Formula 1 to abandon its original plans on regional safety grounds.
Russell chasing Antonelli
George Russell will be aiming for another victory to reduce the gap to Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli, having won in Baku last time out. The Italian leads the Brit by 66 points with eight races remaining in the calendar.
Wolff has offered an update on a significant upgrade for both drivers, with the team having not delivered any fresh parts since the Canadian Grand Prix in May.
Penalties confirmed
