TikTok star Marquay the Goat, known for his humorous skits and challenges, has died at the age of 24. His mother, Sonja Collins, announced the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying her son was “no longer here with me.”
“My heart is broken. My baby, my last one, my SnuggaBug, my Marquay is no longer here with me,” she wrote. “I needed him longer than God allowed me to have him.” She described him as the “sweetest person” who “didn’t have a mean bone in his body.” No cause of death has been stated.
Collins, whose real name was Marquay Collins, amassed nearly 7 million followers on TikTok, where he posted food reviews, challenges, and videos about his love of fast cars. He also frequently collaborated with his parents, Elzie and Sonja. His final TikTok video, posted on Tuesday, featured him reviewing body lotions for his feet.
His brother, Michael Frazier, also paid tribute on social media, writing: “I lost my baby brother today... and the feeling is a feeling I’ve never felt before.” Fans have expressed their condolences, with one commenting: “Rest in peace big bro we love you,” and another calling him “one of the most kindhearted people I know.”
Collins, from Columbus, Ohio, graduated from Shaw High School and attended Georgia State University. He began posting on TikTok in March 2019 and had been steadily building his following since.
