TikTok influencer Jacinda Jenkins has died, her mother Emily Kocik confirmed in an emotional video shared to TikTok on Wednesday October 1. Jenkins, who was born in Lewis Town, Pennsylvania, had amassed over 200,000 followers on the platform, where she posted content focused on fashion, lifestyle and motherhood.
In the video, Kocik said: 'This is absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever had to do, I just want everybody to remember her for the person that she was — her big heart, her kindness, willing to help anybody out even when she was struggling.' She added: 'She was unequivocally herself all the time, and that's one of the things that made her absolutely wonderful.'
Kocik urged followers to focus on the positive aspects of Jenkins's life, stating: 'There's no blame to be made. There's no questions that need to be answered right now. The only thing that we need to do is just remember her.'
Jenkins was also the owner of Harper's Haven Boutique, an online shop based in Kentucky that sold custom-made T-shirts and scrunchies via platforms such as Etsy and Shopify. She leaves behind two daughters.
The news comes days after the death of TikTok star and TV presenter Jennifer Nicole Rivas, 21, who was found dead at her home. Her family confirmed she had an underlying condition, and authorities stated her death was due to natural causes.
