Sky has announced a significant television upgrade for 2026, introducing a new service that provides a free content boost to subscribers. The TV provider confirmed the launch of its Ultimate plan, which combines premium Sky channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky One, and Sky Documentaries with popular streaming platforms Netflix and Disney+ for a single monthly fee.
Surprise Free Preview of Hayu
In an unexpected move, Sky has rolled out a free preview called "Taste of Hayu," available immediately. This update grants viewers access to over 150 episodes from some of Hayu's most popular reality TV franchises, including Below Deck Mediterranean, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and Vanderpump Rules. The preview is offered to Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers with the Ultimate TV package, as well as Sky Q and Sky+ users, allowing them to watch selected seasons on demand.
Full Hayu Integration Coming in July
The complete Hayu catalogue will be fully integrated into Sky's offerings starting in July, unlocking hundreds of additional reality series. New episodes of major shows will be available the same day they air in the United States, all included within the Sky TV subscription at no extra cost. Sky stated, "Reality fans are in for a treat, with a selection of Hayu's most talked-about shows now available to watch for Sky TV subscribers. Customers can enjoy select seasons of favourites straight from their homepage, on demand and included within their subscription—offering a taste of what's to come before the full launch of Hayu on Sky in July."
Expanded Streaming Bundle with HBO Max
The Ultimate plan does not stop with Netflix, Disney+, and Hayu. Sky has also confirmed that HBO Max will be added to the bundle when it launches in the UK and Ireland on March 26, 2026. This addition will bring a wide array of popular on-demand shows without any additional charges, further enhancing the value of the package.
