Blue singer Lee Ryan has publicly announced that his TikTok account has been suspended for the third time, attributing the ban to his controversial posts about NASA's moon missions and claims regarding ultra-processed foods. The 42-year-old musician took to Instagram on Easter Sunday to share a video detailing his latest social media restriction.
Social Media Controversy Escalates
In his Instagram video, Ryan expressed frustration with the platform's decision, stating he was banned on what he called "a beautiful day for the world to celebrate Jesus." He specifically mentioned that TikTok "didn't like the stuff I was saying" about NASA's moon exploration and allegations that certain foods distributed to the public are essentially poisonous.
Conspiracy Theories and Platform Policies
The singer elaborated on his Instagram Stories, writing: "Banned from TikTok again!! For speaking truths about this messed up lie of a world... the control is real." He further claimed that people are "slaves to a very corrupt and controlled system" where entities allegedly make individuals ill only to profit from providing remedies.
Ryan's caption accompanying his video read: "Whoops. I guess the truth is offensive these days," highlighting his belief that his content was removed due to its controversial nature rather than violations of community guidelines.
Personal Life Updates Amid Controversy
This social media incident comes following significant personal developments for the singer. Last September, Ryan became a father for the sixth time when his wife Verity Paris gave birth to a "beautiful, healthy baby girl." The news was shared on Blue's official Instagram page with congratulations from his bandmates Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe.
Growing Family and Recent Celebrations
The couple, who already have three children together, announced the pregnancy in June with Ryan sharing a photo on TikTok captioned: "Oops we did it again... Baby number 4 on the way to add to our lovely little family!"
Ryan also has two children from previous relationships: daughter Bluebell, 16, with ex Jessica Keevil, and son Rayn, 15, with former fiancée Samantha Miller.
Last October, the singer and his wife celebrated their marriage with a lavish ceremony in Seville, Spain, two years after their initial legal wedding in Gibraltar. All of Ryan's Blue bandmates attended the celebration, which he described to OK! magazine as feeling "like a dream."
Financial Comments and Lifestyle
In response to congratulations from fellow boy band star Scott Robinson about his growing family, Ryan made revealing comments about his financial situation and media consumption. When Robinson joked that the couple needed "a TV in your bedroom," Ryan responded: "I can't afford TV... we don't like the brain washing box anyway."
This statement aligns with his broader skepticism about mainstream systems and institutions, which he frequently expresses through his social media content.
Moving Abroad and Family Focus
Ryan relocated to Spain three years ago to start a family with Paris, and the couple has since built their life there with their children. Their Seville wedding featured all three of their children in ceremonial roles, with Ryan walking down the aisle carrying their newborn son to music from Hans Zimmer's "Time."
The singer has spoken emotionally about his relationship with Paris, telling OK! that he knew she was "the one" on their second date and that "she saved my life." He described seeing her in her wedding dress as a moment that "took my breath away."
As Ryan continues to share his unconventional views on social media platforms, his latest TikTok ban highlights the ongoing tension between controversial content creators and platform moderation policies in the digital age.
