The unprecedented outage saw Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and even Threads become inaccessible for nearly two hours, sparking chaos and confusion.
Reports began flooding in from the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, and Asia shortly before 3 PM UK time. Users attempting to access the platforms were met with error messages, failed logins, and endlessly refreshing feeds.
Platforms Paralyzed
The scale of the disruption was immense. On Facebook, the core news feed failed to load. Instagram users found they could not view new posts or send direct messages.
