Arsenal superfan Arabella Mia has expressed anger towards Elon Musk's social media platform X, claiming her account was "demonetised" despite using it solely for football content.
Arabella, often described as Arsenal's biggest female fan, has amassed a large following online. Although she uses X to chat with fellow Gunners supporters rather than promote her own material, she says she was removed from the platform's monetisation programme.
Account flagged over sexual content claim
Speaking to Daily Star Sport before Arsenal's season opener against Coventry City, Arabella said: "I just had my Twitter [now known as X] completely demonetised." She added: "I've been kind of lurking in the shadows for a bit because it's kind of a process. Because my Twitter account is fully all about football, but I was demonetised for sexual content and behaviour."
She joked that the platform had flagged a photo she posted of Bukayo Saka's new haircut, which has gone viral on other creators' posts. "I've been arguing to the depths of hell with Twitter at the moment because I'm like, is it because I'm a woman?" she said.

Arabella continued: "Well, we know it's because I have an Only Fans account, but it's like, my Twitter doesn't directly sell that, if that makes sense, so there's no actual push for it. It's just there! So yeah, I basically lost out on my entire account. It's been completely shadow-banned, so even Arsenal fans wouldn't see my updates anyway..."
Now based in Australia, she can no longer regularly interview Arsenal fans outside the Emirates Stadium, a staple of the content that helped build her profile on the platform. Her move Down Under means X is more important than ever for connecting with fellow Gunners.
Plans to give back to fans
Arabella noted a small but dedicated Arsenal contingent near her new home: "I got invited to a couple of pubs in Sydney, and there are a couple of them in Brisbane that actually show the Arsenal games at that time!" However, for their opener, that would have meant a very early alarm, and she admitted Coventry were one of the teams she would have loved to have seen live. She could instead make a trip when Arsenal travel to Coventry for the reverse fixture later in the season.
When she returns to the Emirates this season, Arabella has an idea that might please fans: "I'm going to do something special when I get there… But I don't want to give it away! A couple of years ago, for Christmas, I sent about 200 people Arsenal shirts. So this year, I'm going to try and do something to give back to fans as I did then!"
