Bots Amplify Nicki Minaj's Conservative Voice, Report Finds

A new report has found that rapper Nicki Minaj, who has emerged as a prominent conservative voice and supporter of the Trump administration, is being amplified by thousands of bots on social media.

According to an analysis by Cyabra, a disinformation detection firm, more than 18,000 fake accounts pushed out Minaj's posts on X between November 11 and December 28, 2025. The report, published by Politico, found that 33 percent of profiles interacting with Minaj's political posts were deemed fake, which is "exceptionally high" compared to the typical 7 to 10 percent of bots online.

Cyabra stated that it assesses with high confidence that a coordinated fake campaign was actively amplifying political content on Minaj's X account during the period reviewed. Minaj's political posts have included attacks on California Governor Gavin Newsom, claims of Christian persecution in Nigeria, and support for the Republican-led Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.

A White House spokesperson praised Minaj as a "fearless advocate for Christians in Nigeria" and a "champion for the MAGA Movement." Minaj has also made public appearances supporting Trump, including at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest summit in December 2025 and a White House event promoting children's investment accounts.
