Report: Thousands of Bots Amplify Nicki Minaj's Conservative Political Voice
Bots Amplify Nicki Minaj's Conservative Voice, Report Finds

Nicki Minaj's Conservative Advocacy Boosted by Coordinated Bot Network

Rapper Nicki Minaj, who has emerged as a prominent conservative voice and supporter of the Trump administration, is being amplified by tens of thousands of bots on social media platforms, according to a new investigative report. The analysis, conducted by disinformation detection firm Cyabra and published by Politico, raises significant questions about the authenticity of engagement with Minaj's political content.

Inauthentic Activity on an Exceptional Scale

Between November 11 and December 28, 2025, more than 18,000 fake accounts actively pushed Minaj's political posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. Cyabra's examination determined that 33 percent of profiles interacting with Minaj's political content were deemed fake, a figure described as "exceptionally high" when compared to the typical 7 to 10 percent bot presence found online generally.

"Based on the scale, concentration, and behavioral alignment of the inauthentic activity identified, Cyabra assesses with high confidence that a coordinated fake campaign was actively amplifying political content on Nicki Minaj's X account during the period reviewed," the firm stated in its official report.

Minaj's Political Evolution and Public Appearances

For several months, Nicki Minaj has accumulated millions of views for her political commentary, which has included:

  • Criticisms of Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom
  • Advocacy regarding claims of Christian persecution in Nigeria
  • Support for the Republican-led Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, commonly known as the SAVE Act

Beyond her digital presence, Minaj has visibly aligned herself with conservative causes through multiple public engagements. She made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest summit in December 2025, sharing the stage with Erika Kirk, who assumed leadership of the conservative youth organization following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

"This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them," Minaj told Kirk during the event.

White House Endorsement and Presidential Praise

Minaj's political activities have received explicit endorsement from the Trump administration. White House spokesperson Olivia Wales told The Independent, "Nicki Minaj is not only the most successful female rapper in history – with a huge fan base in the Barbz – she is also a fearless advocate for Christians in Nigeria, a generous investor in America's children through Trump Accounts, and a champion for the MAGA Movement."

Wales added, "President Trump is proud to have Nicki Minaj's strong support as he Makes America Great Again every day."

Last month, Minaj attended a White House event promoting the children's investment initiative "Trump accounts," where President Trump personally praised her for "investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in Trump accounts to support the children." The rapper has also showcased gifts received from the administration, including a "Trump Gold Card" memento and a Trump-endorsed "God Bless the U.S.A." bible signed by the president.

Questions About Authentic Support

The Cyabra report fundamentally challenges the organic nature of Minaj's political influence, suggesting that a substantial portion of her apparent digital support may be artificially manufactured. With inauthentic accounts comprising one-third of interactions with her political posts, the findings indicate a sophisticated operation aimed at amplifying her conservative messaging.

The Independent has reached out to representatives for Nicki Minaj seeking comment on these revelations. As social media platforms continue to grapple with disinformation campaigns, this case highlights how celebrity political endorsements can become entangled with coordinated inauthentic behavior, potentially distorting public perception of genuine support.
