Before taking a practical driving test, every hopeful driver must first pass a theory test. The test for car and motorcycle drivers covers safety situations, rules of the road, hazards and other common driving scenarios.
Successful candidates have two years to obtain their full licence before they must retake the test. However, many drivers may forget much of what they learned during that period.
Quiz challenges experienced drivers
Drivers who passed their practical tests long ago might also find they have forgotten parts of the Highway Code. A quiz has been compiled to test knowledge on a variety of subjects that may appear in a theory test.
The current theory test pass mark is 86 per cent, so to pass the quiz participants must answer at least 17 questions correctly.
