Pokemon Pokopia has been handed a fresh new update ahead of a major content drop. This latest patch arrives just 10 days after a significant update from Game Freak that introduced dozens of bug fixes and new minor features. The previous update, v1.1.0, addressed Pokemon behavior issues and added several improvements. The new patch, launched yesterday (Thursday, June 18), resolves problems with items and a photo mode glitch, helping to stabilize the critically acclaimed Nintendo Switch 2 game before its first DLC release this summer.
Upcoming DLC and Free Update
Nintendo announced plans for substantial new content during the recent Nintendo Direct showcase. All players will receive a free update in August that enables diving and underwater exploration. Simultaneously, a paid expansion will launch, featuring Part One that allows players to venture into the new underwater town of Bubbly Basin. There, Ditto can make new friends beneath the waves and obtain new furniture and outfits.
To access the Bubbly Basin paid DLC, players must complete the request 'raise the environment level' in Black Beach and acquire the new Dive move included in the free update. More updates are planned, with Game Freak and Nintendo promising Part Two of the expansion in late 2026 and a third and final part next year, which will offer a new village for players to explore and rebuild.
