Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls Open Beta: Date, Time, How to Play

The open beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to launch on July 24 at 4pm JST (8am BST, 12am PT) and will run for 72 hours, concluding at 7.59am BST on July 27 (or 3.59pm JST, 11.59pm PT on July 26). Developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony, the full game is scheduled for release on August 6 for PS5 and PC.

How to Access the Open Beta

No PlayStation Plus subscription is required to participate, but all players must have a PlayStation account. Pre-downloads are available two hours before the beta goes live. PC users can download the beta from Steam or the Epic Games Store, while PS5 players can access it via the PlayStation Store.

Game Modes and Stages

The beta includes five game modes: Online Casual and Ranked Matches, Versus Mode (local multiplayer or against CPU), Start Up Battle (interactive tutorial), Training Mode, and the first three chapters of Episode Mode (Amazing Guardians storyline). Six stages are available: Marvel's New York (Day), Marvel's New York (Night), Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere, and Wakanda. The Open Lobby allows players to customize avatars, chat, and challenge others at arcade cabinets.

Playable Characters

Fifteen of the final 20 characters are playable, divided into factions: Fighting Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther), Unbreakable X-Men (Storm, Magik, Wolverine, Danger), Amazing Guardians (Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker), Samurai Outriders (Ghost Rider, Blade), and Knights of Doom (Doctor Doom, Magneto). Blade is available for the first time.
