Elon Musk has declared that he is not 'suicidal' during a bizarre Twitter Spaces interview, where he also claimed the risk of being shot is 'quite significant'. The world's richest man was answering questions from tech guru Kim Dotcom, who asked out of the blue whether Musk had been having suicidal thoughts.
Musk, 51, replied: 'I do not have any suicidal thoughts. If I committed suicide, it’s not real.' He added that the chances of him being shot are high due to his controversial decisions at Twitter, including cutting the workforce by half shortly after his $44billion takeover in October.
During the exchange, Musk indicated there are 'more smoking guns' regarding censorship under Twitter's past leadership, hinting at further releases similar to the 'Twitter Files' that showed employees debating the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story. He suggested Twitter was 'acting under orders from the government to suppress free speech.'
Musk also published emails from Twitter executives involved in censoring the Hunter Biden story, including requests from the Biden campaign to remove certain links. The leaked emails revealed that Twitter staffers were asked to review tweets deemed problematic by 'the Biden team,' and additional complaints from the DNC led to more deletions.
