Season 5 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on Thursday, July 23 at 9am PT (5pm BST), with a content roadmap that includes new multiplayer maps, Zombies updates, Warzone additions, and a new Battle Pass. The update is expected to be between 30GB and 45GB depending on platform, with pre-loading available from Tuesday, July 21.
New Multiplayer Maps
Five new multiplayer maps will roll out during Season 5. Three are available at launch: Frequency (a remaster of the Black Ops 4 map set in a mountain surveillance station), Dig (a remaster of Black Ops 2's small archaeological site map), and Jubilee (a new medium-sized map set in a rural Japanese town during a festival). Two additional maps arrive mid-season: Turbo Tilt, a chaotic small map inside a Nuketown-themed pinball machine, and Freerun: Descent, a new obstacle course.
New Modes and Zombies Content
New multiplayer modes include Overdrive: Domination and Gauntlet Rush, with Cranked Moshpit returning mid-season. In Zombies, a new survival map, Eidskallen Lighthouse, challenges players to survive on Beacon Island with rewards at Rounds 10, 25, and 50. The Kowakujo map receives Directed Mode with on-screen quest hints and a Starting Room mode. The Zombies narrative concludes with the Rex Infernus map mid-season. Season 5 Reloaded adds new weapons and perks.
Warzone and Endgame Updates
Warzone's Verdansk gets a new POI featuring a rare armed JLTV vehicle. Limited-time modes include Lockdown Casual at launch and the 50v50 Heavy Metal Heroes mode mid-season. Endgame remains free-to-play and adds a new Burn Run assignment. New weapons across Black Ops 7 and Warzone include the FG42 assault rifle and Gremlin SMG.
Battle Pass and Challenges
A new Battle Pass launches with Season 5, alongside weekly challenges, store drops, and XP bonuses. Players can unlock weapon camos and other rewards throughout the season.
